This beautiful finish was no easy application. To achieve a finish like this it’s a 4 to 6 day process including multiple base coats and finish coats as well as a sealer. This plaster is a smooth matte finish to the touch. The flagstone surrounds were painted with RomaBio Masonry Flat and the interior of the fire box was painted with matte black fire paint.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

First coat is brown coat with a fiberglass mesh embedded for strength. Followed by two coats of base to level out imperfect areas and finally 2 finish coats of Meoded Marmorino Tinteretto Matte venetian Plaster. Everything was sealed with RomaBio Mineral Shield.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

This fireplace had an brown flagstone with very uneven surfaces.
